Some choons

Hello! Thought I'd put some music up. Heres some stuff I've been listening to a lot recently

^^Thats Dataplex by Ryoji Ikeda. It came out in 2005 on Alva Noto's label and is well good. I'm shit at describing music so heres the bio from his website. Actually this thing isn't letting me copy and paste. Eh, it uses lots of really high and low frequencies that bounce about all over the place and make you feel fairly disorientated at first although it sounds quite IDM a lot of the time. Thats a rubbish description but the albums an amazing listen.

That is an album called En Aldeles Forferdelig Sykdom by a Norwegian band called Spunk. I saw them in Oslo completely by accident a couple of years ago and it was one of the best gigs I've been to. The album is pretty chaotic and somewhere between noise, electroacoustic improv and total show tunes. They use traditional instruments, one of them plays french horn, with lots of electronics. Maja Ratkje is their most well known member and her vocals are a pretty striking and important part of their sound. I bought this album at the gig and they also gave me this book thing with loads of pictures and interviews, but I managed to lose it when me Paul and Nicky got kicked out our flat. Totally gutted.

Hope you enjoy!
