alright, so that big black hole thats the festive season has moved on and we mostly live to see another day. I've just been to the dentist and he robbed me of one of my teeth.
you gotta sleep with one eye open these days, i swear.
been a busy month or so.... been to a few places, danced with death, wrote a dissertation... you know.
musically I'm still on the same electronic bender as before and Bruno Pronsato is sort of doing it for me. his album "Why Can't we be more like us" is weird. it seems to work as an album not just a collection of songs and its full of squelchy sounds and acoustic drums.
its not exactly techno, but i'm not really sure what it is, so just wrap your ears around it and let me know what you think.
I don't want to put up the whole album cause in his newsletter he was complaining about it, and i felt bad, but i'm sure you can all find it if you're so inclined. its good and its out properly on the 21st of this month.
on a club tip, you gotta come to pressure this month and see onur ozer - it should be a lot of fun.
Also, halt bar news: we got a new juke box loaded with all the best CDs in the world (no, its not techno...) so please do come down and check it out and get steaming. happy days indeed.
we've aso started hosting some gigs... this saturday will be Tiny Little Hearts. always a fun band and they've played a threestrokeone party so they're ok by me.
next week, on sat 26th, we've got the wonderful Mia Beane and the Asthmatic Scene -so bring your cardigans and dancing shoes.
on the 27th we've got Mr Tom Snowball hosting the first of his monthly antifolk jam nights. im not quite sure of all his plans, but it sounded like a good idea so we're going for it, us forward thinking folk at the halt
