behold...the arctopus - skullgrid this is great uber tech metal, kind of like orthrelm but the songs are a bit longer and you can get a groove going (just to say i did once dance to creature comforts by black dice so perhaps my brain is just wired wrong or something)
boris + merzbow - sun baked snow cave this record is not as full on as the rock dream album it is much more of a minimalist thing building to an epic climax of droning loveliness.
celtic frost - monotheist total old school legends reform and make this, an album which shames almost all bands purporting to be extreme into taking up ballet.
nadja -Thaumogenesis this is beautiful drone metal. they are a canadian duo it jut totally blew my fucking mind. the only real purpose of this record is to make the crusades seem lame that is just how fucking metal this is.
next, kayo dot - blue lambency downward a recent signing and release to hydrahead. it is a strange amalgamation of metal/classical/postrock it isn't too brutal but just right.
well while this isn't music it fits perfectly with the post, possibly the most metal thing i have seen ever. how much i wish i could post that rock smiley right now.

the p4k review of them today is the worst thing in the world, however.
